The Apple Orchard
Nestled on the East side of the property lies the Apple Orchard, gracefully aging for over 70 years. Guests are invited to grab a basket and indulge in a sweet treat. Fall, when our retreat will be held is the perfect time!
The Sundeck
The Sundeck provides a private space to catch the sunlight and take in the sights of Hemlock, Neversink.
The Courtyard
The courtyard acts as the entrance to the Spa Building. Set with a fountain, indigenous plants and sitting areas throughout, this space can be utilized for self-discovery or solo reflection.
The Goat Barn
Spend some time with Hemlock’s resident goats from Frederick Farm Goat Sanctuary. You will find guided daily walks and designated visiting hours.
The Movement Studio
Home to wellness classes throughout your stay, the Movement Studio features soaring wood-paneled ceilings with ample sunlight. This space holds community yoga and breathwork classes.
The Property
Hemlock’s design is predicated on nature and the area’s Quaker heritage, offering a unique sense of calmness, simplicity and practicality. While the main building was constructed in 1923, the rest of the buildings on the property took shape with each new owner over the course of fifty years. By honoring its history, Hemlock is an embodiment of the imperfections in its historical buildings, highlighting original interior design elements such as natural wood and iron, alongside modern, earthy and neutral color palettes.

Cancellation Policy: There is a 50% nonrefundable deposit for this event. In the event that you should have an unforeseen emergency and need to cancel, when you do so before August 1st, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount. If you cancel after August 1, 2025, we will not be able to provide any refund.
FAQs
Both the Newark International Airport, https://www.newarkairport.com/ and the Albany New York international Airport https://www.albanyairport.com/ are approximately one hour and 45 minutes from the Hemlock site.
You will be responsible for your own transportation to the retreat site. Participants usually rent their own vehicle at the airport. We recommend this, because it gives you complete freedom and will get you to the site most quickly.
Yes, a block of time will be built into the retreat curriculum so that you can enjoy a leisurely spat treatment, enjoy the spaces available to us free of charge in the spa such as the pool and the quiet room, or rest, hike or another activity of choice. The retreat will be a beautiful balance of deep transformation, nourishing sisterhood and community and rest and renewal.
Due to our commitment to the beautiful venue where we hold the retreat, we are not able to provide refunds.
In Awakening the Queen, Discover Your Life of No Regrets, you’ll experience a beautiful blend of embodiment practices, transformational writing, creative activity, community and connection, coaching support, nature and renewal. There’s nothing like time away from your normal routine to catalyze insights and deepen your relationship with yourself and others.
The weather in December can be a bit unpredictable. Temperatures may range from the 30s to 50s. It’s best to bring layers, something for rainy weather and at least one pair of shoes that are comfortable for walking or hiking, should you choose to. That said, you are encouraged to bring beautiful, comfortable clothes that you feel express yourself in. They can be dressy, casual, outdoorsy, whatever feels like you 🙂 The idea is to be comfortable and at home in your own skin.
