What is the Money – Mother Connection?
Our relationship to our mother teaches us the most important meanings about our own worth, receiving, permission, deserving, lovability and what is possible for us to have and achieve. The way we were nurtured, protected and loved converts into our money attachment style (anxious, avoidant, disorganized or secure).
If you have not been able to generate, accumulate and enjoy money at your full potential, there is likely an unhealed mother wound at the root.

My Money Story
I had a very restrictive mother. Her response to every desire was “no”. I internalized her rigidity to mean and I did not deserve anything.
As a young adult, I began shopping to feel loved.
Buying something beautiful, whether I could afford it or not, made me feel nurtured in ways I never experienced with her.
As my debt grew, so did my shame.
I tried to heal my relationship to money with practical tips, but nothing was sustainable.
Until I Had a Profound Breakthrough.
Once I understood the mother-wound at the source of my dysfunctional relationship to money, I had an experience of profound self-forgiveness.
The next time I felt like purchasing something beyond my means, I heard the words “I’m enough” arise from deep within myself, and my desire for an object inverted into feelings of deep internal comfort and nurturance.
My own love was what I was seeking.
When I opened my heart to myself, money became available to me.
This was the first of a multilayered breakthrough process, that led to the thriving business I have today.
